Seasons Greetings

Well we are in the middle of the show season now all of our agricultural shows are done and dusted

Kingston Show Ponies team has been out sparingly but with great results. Firstly our yearling filly Kingston Momento made her debut and from 2 shows has won 3 champions

Our 14 year old broodmare Just in Time of Astral continues to be miss reliable and although mainly taken to the shows to be a baby sitter for the newcomers she still manages to never leave a show without a Champion or Reserve. We always say that this will be her last season but when the next season comes around she always seems to be in the stable being prepped. Jussy was to be served this season but we have decided that we would like another year without foals so we can concentrate on the youngsters we have.

We said good bye to Beeswing Storytime who made the journey to NSW and Brandyhollow Park where she will be broken in and campaigned as a saddle pony we couldn’t be happier to find Tab such a fantastic home.

We also welcomed the pretty Homozygous filly Hillydale Spring Sonata, with the idea of breeding her to Riding Pony stallions in the future, being Homozygous means that every foal she producers with be Pinto so we look forward to dabbling with the wealth of bloodlines here in Australia and hopefully the result will be a very special colt. Tilly also attended her first show with us for Supreme Champion APSB all sections exhibit.

On a devastating note due to complications our first home bred foal Kingston Sonata was sadly put to sleep , it was a huge blow for all of us here as we mourn the loss of such a beautiful cheeky pony. In memory of Jaxson who never made it to the ring, we have decided to finally educate his mother Kolbeach Moment and campaign her as a saddle pony – she has the most amazing movement and we are sure she will do her progeny proud. In the coming weeks we hope to keep everyone posted with her progress via Facebook so if you would like to follow her journey please like “Kingston Show Ponies” on facebook.
